Tropical Suiting
- Washing
- Because these are tailored, structured garments, dry cleaning is the safest way to keep the drape, seams and shoulder shaping intact. If you do wash at home, use cold water on a delicate/gentle cycle with a mild detergent, and wash the garment alone or with like colours.
- Drying
- Hang to dry on a sturdy, shaped hanger rather than tumble drying. If a dryer is unavoidable, use the lowest heat setting for the shortest time and remove while still slightly damp.
- Ironing
- Iron on a low-to-medium synthetic setting with a pressing cloth between the iron and fabric. Steam lightly to release travel creases rather than pressing hard.
- Bleach
- Never use chlorine bleach — it will yellow and weaken the fibres. A small amount of oxygen-based stain remover can be used sparingly for spot treatment.
- Storage
- Store on a broad, padded hanger in a breathable garment bag, away from direct sunlight, to prevent shine and colour fade along fold lines.
