The Cassock

Three cuts are offered: Anglican, or Roman with either 33 or 39 buttons. The product listing mentions padded shoulders, lining down to the waist, a trio of pleats behind and openings at the sides so you can reach your trouser pockets. Tropical suiting keeps the red purple smooth through a long consecration or synod day.

About Red Purple

Red purple, sometimes called magenta, is the shade most linked with the office of bishop in Anglican, Episcopal and Methodist bodies, and a number of Pentecostal and independent churches give it to senior clergy too. It is warmer and pinker than Roman purple. Wear it as your tradition permits.

Cassocks run from 38 to 58 in Short, Regular and Long lengths. The Made to Measure option ($30) asks for height, back length, chest and other measurements, and the surplice is sized separately.

Matching the Episcopal Shade
